Return and Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping with Smart Finds RSA. Please read our return and refund policy carefully before placing an order.

1. Return Period

Customers may request a return within 7 days of receiving their order.

Return requests made after 7 days will not be accepted, unless required by South African consumer law.

2. Return Conditions

To qualify for a return, the item must be:

- Unused
- Undamaged
- In its original packaging
- In the same condition as received
- Complete with all accessories, manuals, tags, parts, and packaging
- Returned with proof of purchase

3. Items That Cannot Be Returned

We do not accept returns if:

- The item has been used
- The item has been damaged by the customer
- The item is missing parts, accessories, tags, manuals, or packaging
- The item has been washed, worn, opened, altered, assembled, installed, or tampered with
- The item shows signs of wear, misuse, neglect, or abuse
- The return request is made after 7 days of receiving the order
- The customer no longer wants the item after the allowed return period

4. Return Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for paying all return shipping costs.

Return shipping costs are non-refundable.

Customers must make sure the item is safely packaged when returning it. Smart Finds RSA is not responsible for returned items that are lost, damaged, or not received.

5. Refunds

Refunds are not automatic.

All returned items must first be received and inspected by Smart Finds RSA.

If the return is approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method where possible.

If the returned item does not meet our return conditions, the refund may be refused.

Shipping fees, delivery fees, return shipping costs, and handling fees are non-refundable.

6. Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged, faulty, incomplete, or incorrect, you must contact us within 7 days of delivery.

You must provide:

- Your order number
- Clear photos or videos of the issue
- Photos of the packaging
- A clear explanation of the problem

We will review the case and decide the appropriate solution in line with South African consumer law.

Depending on the situation, we may offer a replacement, repair, refund, or store credit.

7. Customer Damage

Smart Finds RSA will not accept responsibility for damage caused by:

- Incorrect use of the product
- Misuse or abuse
- Dropping or breaking the item
- Water damage
- Incorrect installation
- Normal wear and tear
- Using the product for the wrong purpose
- Failing to follow product instructions

Items damaged by the customer cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged.

8. Inspection of Returns

All returned items will be inspected before any refund, replacement, or store credit is approved.

If the item is used, damaged, incomplete, dirty, altered, or not in its original condition, the return may be rejected.

9. Exchanges

Exchanges may be offered at the discretion of Smart Finds RSA, depending on stock availability and the condition of the returned item.
